Kenyan 2018 Classroom Donations

$ 50.00

Hello,

This is Otieno Ogwel writing on behalf of AfricanEverything.com; a joint online shop for  Maendeleo Imports & Thank You God Bless LLC. In continuing our mission for good works across the world and being the change we want to see;  We are excited to share with you new information about our next upcoming overseas mission project.

For this years project, we located a school in Kenya called Seme Nyabiage Primary School which is in need of 2 additional classrooms. The school is located in the Karachuonyo region of Homa Bay County in Kenya, Africa.

The schools are traditionally built by community members and the Kenyan government provides the teachers.  The first two classrooms at Seme Nyabiage primary school were provided by the Karachuonyo C.D.F and the remaining four were provided by three individual donors.  Unfortunately due to lack of community finances, some children at Seme Nyabiage primary are still sharing the same classrooms. It was this simple request that we don’t normally notice living in the states that made us want to do what we could to help so these children would have a chance to learn amongst their peers.

This is where we come in and can be used for something greater than ourselves. We are raising funds from our African basket sales (www.AfricanEverything.com), T-shirts (www.ThankYouGodBless.com), Donations from our friends within the US and fundraisers created by our friends to help us extend this school with two additional classrooms by the beginning of the new school year in January 2019.

Based on the requests from this community, we set our total goal to reach at $26,000.  This will help us cover the materials and labor needed to add 2 additional classrooms to the existing school.  Besides your donation, we are asking for assistance in sharing this letter on our behalf to your associates who would love to help us out.

We want to extend an invitation to you and anyone that you may know that would love to travel to Kenya with us to partake in this project. We will have a team in Kenya tentatively in late November to start the project which will take about 6 weeks. Being that it’s around the holidays, we suggest planning for 7-10 days in Kenya during the month of December and we will accomodate different travel dates so based on your availability, you could still participate in the project and visit Kenya. Please send an email with the Subject Heading (KENYA 2018 Classroom Project) with your contact info to GodBlessThankYou@gmail.com before September 1st with your interest to travel with us to Kenya.

Thank you,

Mary Ogwel, Rashawnda Ogwel & Otieno Ogwel
